Partners could be in for a busy first half of the year as new laptop ranges that make use of Intel’s lates 14th Gen processors are launched by all the leading systems vendors – and TD SYNNEX expects to be the first to have product available to order in the UK and Ireland.

The new generation deliver built-in AI functionality and also provide improved battery life for laptop devices. Leading brands such as Dell, HP, Lenovo and others have already started to pre-announce updates to their laptop product lines in the US and launches on this side of the Atlantic are imminent. The arrival of these exciting new ranges could come at just the right time, said Jay Allen, business unit director – PC Systems.
‘A lot of organisations have been holding back on laptop upgrades for the last couple of years but as we start to see signs of improvement in the economy, we should also see the purse strings being loosened. This new wave of laptops powered by Intel 14th Gen Ultra Core processors will be arriving at exactly the right time, With the “AI Everywhere” approach Intel is taking and the excellent power efficiency of these new products, there could be a strong uplift in demand.’
TD SYNNEX will be well-positioned to help partners make the most of the opportunity, he added. ‘We expect to be the first to have good stocks of the new line-ups. We have been working with our supplier partners to ensure that we have the right levels of inventory and we are confident that we’ll be able to help partners meet customer demand.’
He also noted that TD SYNNEX was ready to bridge any gaps that partners have in the immediate future due to unexpected delays in shipments. ‘We had already been ramping up our own inventory planning for Q1 and managed to get ahead of the game. We are in a good position and ready to help out any partners that may have been impacted by shipping delays due to unforeseen global events.’
